This site was an idea for a while. I've been learning to work with bees at our family organic farm over the last couple of years, and trying to meld the deep experience of conventional beekeepers with some of the ideas on alternative/natural beekeeping.

The idea became a real website after attending Michael Weiler's 4 day biodynamic beekeeping workshop in Co Kilkenny. Both Michael's approach and the energy from all the workshop participants inspired me to set up the site.

I believe in using methods and materials that are as natural as possible for keeping bees, and would welcome people who are experimenting or interested in this area to join the discussions.
